The Zuidas in Amsterdam has recently had a dynamic Bicycle Route Information System (FRIS). As a result, cyclists on their way to their destination quickly see where there is a parking space available in the covered (and free) parking facilities.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Many people come and go to the Zuidas by bicycle. But yes, where do you put it? The municipality of Amsterdam wants to prevent nuisance and prefers to see all bicycles parked in 1 of the 3 underground bicycle parking facilities in this business centre.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bicycle Route Information System<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

That is why Q-lite has realized a Bicycle Route Information System (FRIS)<\/a> on behalf of the municipality. Information systems have been installed at five locations along the main cycle routes to the Zuidas. They not only show the way, the cyclist can immediately see which parking facilities are busy and where they are not. A spokesperson for the municipality says: “We see this system as an extra incentive to park the bicycle underground.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The display systems fully comply with the NEN-EN12966 specifications.<\/a> This guarantees<\/strong> the optimal readability<\/strong> and quality<\/strong> of the system. The indication to the parking locations is also illuminated in the dark.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Projects such as the FRIS in Amsterdam are handled in a professional manner<\/strong> by Q-lite. In a very short time, Q-lite designed, developed, produced and installed a new product for the municipality of Amsterdam. A start was made with the elaboration of the design and the exact locations were determined together with the municipality. After this, all systems were produced and the BLVC plans (accessibility, quality of life, safety and communication) were drawn up so that the permit could be issued. After the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) in our factory, the systems were installed on the street and delivered to the satisfaction of the municipality of Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
