March 8 is International Women’s Day. The ideal opportunity to put our female colleagues in the spotlight. Despite the fact that as a technical company we are in a real man’s world, our team consists of no less than 32% women. The ideal time to put some of these toppers in the spotlight.

How did you join Q-lite and how did you grow within the company?

I came to Q-lite through my previous employer. I worked in my brother’s company and Q-lite was a customer with us. That’s how I got to know the company and later I was approached if I wanted to come and work here.

What do you like most about the job?

The best part is the variety of work, you have contact with customers but also with colleagues and you never know in the morning what you did in the evening!

What are your tasks within Q-lite?

As a receptionist I am the first point of contact within Q-lite. Together with my colleague Kim, I take care of the reception of customers, answer the telephone switchboard and plan the occupation of the various meeting rooms and showroom.

I also organize company parties and events within Q-lite. In addition to my reception tasks, I make graphic designs for both sales and production.

How did you join Q-lite and how did you grow within the company?

I came to Q-lite through the interim agency and after a period as an interim I stayed here.

What do you like most about the job?

Q-lite has grown a lot since I started, but the family atmosphere is still there. Recently it has become even stronger for myself as my son-in-law has started as a service technician.

What are your tasks within Q-lite?

I assemble products in production. That means that I combine all parts into a whole product. I do this from LED pharmacy crosses, news tickers, scoreboards to price displays.

How did you join Q-lite and how did you grow within the company?

My first employer was ABN AMRO Bank. Here I worked until 2001 as a Private Advisor. Been a full-time mother for a while and worked part-time for a short time at a GP. At the end of 2005 I responded to an advertisement in a local newspaper for a vacancy for an assistant sales assistant for 3 days a week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This was perfect to combine with the school hours of my daughter who was only 4 years old. Since then I have held various positions internally; started as sales assistant, then project/management assistant and then after the sudden departure of the Service Coordinator, ended up at Support. Due to the enormous growth of the department, this ultimately resulted in the current position as Manager Support Alblasserdam.

What do you like most about the job?

The best thing about my job is that it is very versatile. I have a lot of contact with customers, but also direct contact with colleagues. From my position you can ‘make a difference’ and that’s nice.

What are your tasks within Q-lite?

I manage a total of 10 people, including the field service technicians, office staff and the administration of the support department. In addition, I maintain contacts with customers. In particular, the maintenance contract customers with whom we have entered into an agreement for a longer period of time.

How did you join Q-lite and how did you grow within the company?

I have been working with Jacco since 1999. However, the company where we worked ceased to exist. A year and a half later, during the further expansion of Data Display, he asked me back and that’s how I’ve always stayed here. In the beginning I worked in purchasing and stock management with some administrative tasks. That eventually changed into the tasks I do now.

What do you like most about the job?

It is a nice group of people to work with, I think the most important thing is the working atmosphere in which you have to carry out the work. You have to have a good discussion every now and then but then just be able to move on and have the same goal in mind. A relaxed, fun working atmosphere is important to me and I experience that at Q-lite.

What are your tasks within Q-lite?

The last year I have mainly been busy updating/maintaining the quality and safety systems for all branches in preparation for ISO/VCA audits. Instructing employees about registrations/inspections/processes and working with eQuse.

How did you join Q-lite and how did you grow within the company?

I was looking for a job and had received several vacancies from the interim agency, including the vacancy at Q-lite. The vacancy did not immediately appeal to me and I therefore ignored it for a while.

The interim agency managed to convince me to go for an interview anyway. After the application I came out with a very good feeling and the products interested me enormously because I had a technical education.

After 6 years I still have a good feeling and I have gradually grown within the company. After 4 years of internal sales employee, which is mainly preparing quotes and supporting sales, I changed to order manager in April. This feature suits me much better personally.

What do you like most about the job?

The best part is being able to follow the project from A to Z. That gives satisfaction. But also getting the chance to do this, that they have the confidence that the project will run smoothly.

What are your tasks within Q-lite?

Coordinating all activities necessary for the successful execution of the order. Preparing production receipts, communication with the customer regarding installation, delivery time, requesting signaling permits, arranging inspection, coordinating installations with support.

In short, steer an order in the right direction!
